Branching Processes with Deteriorating Random Environments
نویسنده
چکیده
In this paper, a BPRE (branching process in random environments) is presented, in which a population development in deteriorating environments is described. Some primary results on process growth and extinction probability are shown. At last, two simple numerical examples that attempt to simulate the probability model are given to help understand its mathematical framework.

Central Limit Theorem in Multitype Branching Random Walk
A discrete time multitype (p-type) branching random walk on the real line R is considered. The positions of the j-type individuals in the n-th generation form a point process. The asymptotic behavior of these point processes, when the generation size tends to infinity, is studied. The central limit theorem is proved.
متن کاملComparison Results for Branching Processes in Random Environments
In this note we consider branching processes whose behavior depends on a dynamic random environment, in the sense that we assume that the offspring distributions of individuals are parametrized, over time, by the realizations of a process describing the environmental evolution. We study how the variability in time of the environment modifies the variability of total population by considering tw...
متن کاملResistance Dimensions of Branching Processes in Varying Environments Trees
In this paper we pursue our study, in [5] and [6], on dimensions of some random trees. These dimensions are, for polynomially growing graphs, closely related to the type (transience-recurrence) problem of the simple random walk on such graphs. We give an interval estimation for the mean resistance dimension of branching processes in varying environments trees.
متن کاملMaintainability Policy for Deteriorating System with Inspection and Common Cause Failure (TECHNICAL NOTE)
A condition based preventive and corrective maintenance policy is proposed for a continuously operating system. The condition of the system is assumed to deteriorate with time. The model incorporates both deterioration as well as random common cause failures. The deterioration stages are modeled as discrete state processes. The system is put to random inspection to know the condition. The mean ...
متن کاملBranching diffusions, superdiffusions and random media
Spatial branching processes became increasingly popular in the past decades, not only because of their obvious connection to biology, but also because superprocesses are intimately related to nonlinear partial differential equations. Another hot topic in today’s research in probability theory is ‘random media’, including the now classical problems on ‘Brownian motion among obstacles’ and the mo...
